I cannot help but feel peeved despite the fact that I’m
actually a sun, sand and all beach related kind of gal. The metro sizzled yesterday, April 21, Saturday
afternoon at 35.9 degrees Celsius, the hottest temperature so far in Manila
this 2012. Although the highest temperature recorded so far this year was actually
in Clark field Pampanga at 38.4 degrees Celsius earlier this month too. Aaarrgghh,
goodness April! Fine, I should probably avoid being such a whino. Knowing
there are worst days where the sun bakes at 39.5 or 42.2 degrees Celsius even,
but still!!
Just this same week, as we parked across an atm machine so I could
get some fast cash, I was drawn to a panic-y bunch of screamers, claiming that
a man inside of a jeep who was practically a rod-length away from me was baked
dead allegedly from heat stroke, how tragic. I ran quickly back to the car and
cranked up the aircon to max, gulped down my water bottle up to the last drop.
All I’m saying is this, knowing the heat is full-on, babes, please don’t forget
to hydrate and rehydrate possibly much as you can. Now if I ever run to you
baked or barbie-d on the streets, don’t you dare spook me just to tell I didn’t
give you first dibs on this. More fans in the Philippines!
